Description:
The holder of the certification «Use of Digital Tools for Waste Management and Recycling», is defined as the person who possesses the knowledge and skills requires, to utilize digital technologies and tools for the supervision, monitoring, analysis, and optimization of waste and recycling management processes, as well as for cost reduction, within the context of local government and sustainable development strategies.
Successful completion of the certification examination for this subject, demonstrates the individual’s ability to comprehend the use of smart systems and software for decision-making based on information/evidences, in order to apply circular economy practices, and to support the digital transformation of municipal cleaning services through the adoption of innovative solutions involving citizens, businesses, and local authorities.
Indicative job duties include the following:
- Monitoring and analyzing data through digital waste management platforms.
- Implementing digital solutions to optimize waste collection and enhance recycling efforts.
- Participating in public awareness and citizen engagement campaigns regarding recycling and the proper use of digital waste management applications.
Requirements for taking the certification test:
Be 18 years old or older and have/be:
- Academic Degree
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 40 hours in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary education with an educational orientation in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 60 hours in a relevant subject
