Successful completion of the certification examination for this subject «Digital Accessibility Consultant for People with Disabilities» demonstrates the individual’s ability to understand the core principles and standards of accessibility, recognize the needs and challenges faced by people with disabilities in the digital environment, and apply accessible design practices in websites, applications, and multimedia content. Additionally, the individual is equipped with the skills to use accessibility tools, assess the digital accessibility of existing systems and he/she is also aware of the importance of inclusion and equal access to digital information and technology for all.

Indicative job duties include the following:

  • Participation in the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital projects with a focus on accessibility.
  • Collaboration and communication with development and content teams to implement accessibility guidelines.
  • Identification of accessibility issues in websites, applications, and digital documents.
  • Provision of recommendations and support for correcting and aligning digital products with international accessibility standards

Requirements for taking the certification test:

Be 18 years old or older and have/be:

  • Academic Degree

or

  • Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 60 hours in a relevant subject

or

  • Graduate of an optional secondary education with an educational orientation in a relevant subject
