They are able to select appropriate materials with a low environmental footprint, apply circular economy practices and utilise innovative technological solutions that enhance sustainability and green growth.
Successful participation in the certification exams for this subject demonstrates the individual’s ability to integrate the principles of sustainable production into every stage of the 3D printing process, to evaluate the energy and environmental performance of different technologies and propose improvements that reduce the ecological footprint.
His indicative job responsibilities include the following:
- Participating in needs analysis and selecting appropriate sustainable 3D printing technologies.
- Promoting practices for the rational use of materials and recycling methods.
- Assisting in the assessment of energy efficiency and environmental impact.
- Monitoring technological developments and proposing innovative solutions for sustainable printing.
Requirements for taking the certification test:
Be 18 years old or older and have/be:
- Academic Degree
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 60 hours in a relevant subject.
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence, with at least 6 months of professional experience in a related field (e.g. production, circular economy).
