The holder of the certificate in the specialty Executive of experiential agritourism businesses, is defined as the person who possesses the necessary knowledge to be able to assess the possibility of successfully expanding an agricultural activity into a tourism activity, with the ultimate goal of offering tourists an active experience of an agritourism destination, while having economic benefits for the company that employs him/her. The certified in the specialty “Executive of experiential agritourism businesses” will be able to assess whether it is feasible for an agricultural activity to be profitably expanded into a tourism activity, but also to contribute to the readiness and operation of the agritourism unit, taking into account, among other things, the key indicators of the respective agritourism area, the necessary elements of sustainable development of agrotourism activities and the relevant economic requirements. . Indicative job duties include the following:
- It evaluates the possibility of converting an agricultural unit into an agritourism unit.
- Plans the expected relationship with customers.
- It promotes agritourism.
- Participation in the preparation of business plans.
Requirements for taking the certification test: ΝBe 18 years old or older and have/be:
- Academic Degree
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 30 hours in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary education with an educational orientation in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 80 hours in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and at least 6 months of relevant work experience.
* In this sub-scheme, is given the possibility to the candidate to be evaluated either in Greek or in English. In case the candidate chooses to be examined in the English language, it is recommended that his/her level of knowledge in English is at least B1 (moderate knowledge).
