Information Technology (IT) Service Manager

Description:

The holder of the certification «Information Technology (IT) Service Manager» is defined as the person who possesses the knowledge and skills required, to manage and support IT services by applying secure and efficient procedures, as well as best practices and international standards.

Successful completion of the certification examination for the subject «Information Technology (IT) Service Manager» demonstrates the individual’s ability to understand best practices in IT service delivery, information systems security procedures, and protection against cyberattacks and also to apply international standards for IT service management and information security. Furthermore, it proves that the individual can comprehend automated processes and the changes that must be implemented for the continuous development and efficiency of IT services.

Indicative job duties include the following:

  • Participation in the monitoring of processes and the implementation of techniques, tools, and protocols related to the provision of IT services.
  • Contribution to the implementation of security policies and procedures for the protection of the organization’s systems and data.
  • Support in the application of ISO standards (such as ISO 20000, ISO 27001) for IT service management and information security.
  • Participation in the organization and management of infrastructures and networks.

 

 

Requirements for taking the certification test:

Be 18 years old or older and have/be:

  • Academic Degree

or

  • Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 50 hours in a relevant subject

or

  • Graduate of an optional secondary education with an educational orientation in a relevant subject
