The purpose of the certification in this subject is to certify specialized knowledge and targeted skills and abilities in many of the key areas of design, visual communication and presentation and especially in electronic image, model and page editing. The The Image, Model and Page Processing Technician uses common design software applications such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Its goal is to communicate a client’s message to a specific audience, using multiple visual communication media, images, symbols, words, typography, colors, shapes and textures. Combining image and text, he/she designs logos, in order to create corporate identity, advertisements, posters, product packaging, business cards, brochures, books, magazines and generally any promotional / advertising material intended for printing.
He/she also deals with the web design and advertisements / in order to post them on the internet.
The Image, Model and Page Processing Technician is responsible for:
- the research and planning from the initial conception of the idea to the completion of the project,
- the design and, in general, the aesthetic editing of any kind of printing work,
- the creation of work to be published in a multimedia application.
He/she works in the production of various publishing or advertising companies, or Ministries and other public organizations and enterprises, in publishing houses, printing workshops, newspapers, magazines and television.
As a freelancer, he/she may have a private office and a graphic arts workshop.
Requirements for taking the certification test:
- Graduate of at least compulsory education (primary school for graduates up to 1980, third grade Gymnasium for graduates from 1981)
* In this sub-scheme, is given the possibility to the candidate to be evaluated either in Greek or in English. In case the candidate chooses to be examined in the English language, it is recommended that his/her level of knowledge in English is at least B1 (moderate knowledge).
