Disaster and Crisis Management (natural, biological and technological) in Local Government Organisations

The holder of the certificate in the training subject “Disaster and Crisis Management (natural, biological and technological) in Local Government Organisations” is defined as the person who possesses the necessary knowledge to participate effectively in the prevention, management and response processes in potential disasters and crises. Successful participation in the certification examination for the subject ‘Disaster and Crisis Management (natural, biological and technological) in Local Government Organisations’ demonstrates the basic knowledge a person possesses in order to manage with the right measures and strategies emergency events in the context of local government organizations.

Indicative job duties include the following:

  • monitoring actions related to the identification of potential threats.
  • participating in the development of response strategies.
  • communication with partner bodies on issues related to the risks of the Local Government Organisations.
  • supporting the smooth functioning of the crisis management plan.

 

 

 

Requirements for taking the certification test:

 

Be 18 years old or older and have/be:

  • Academic Degree or
  • Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 30 hours in a relevant subject or
  • Graduate of secondary education with an educational orientation in a relevant subject

 

* In this sub-scheme, is given the possibility to the candidate to be evaluated either in Greek or in English. In case the candidate chooses to be examined in the English language, it is recommended that his/her level of knowledge in English is at least B1 (moderate knowledge).
