Environmental Management and Safe Fuel Transportation Executive

Description:

The person that holds a certificate in the specialty “Environmental Management and Safe Fuel Transportation Executive” is defined as the individual who has knowledge required, to support fuel management operations with an emphasis on safety, environmental compliance and regulatory compliance. This person may perform specific tasks under the guidance of specialists/suitably trained persons in these matters and to provide essential services in the field of safe fuel handling and environmental management, acting as a supporting staff in fuel marketing, processing or transportation of fuel, businesses.

Indicative job duties include the following:

  • Recognizes the categories and characteristics of fuels, as well as the technologies related to their use.
  • Supports the compliance of the company in which he works, with the Legislation (e.g. participates in actions related to the compliance with the Regulations related to the transportation and marketing of fuels).
  • Participates in the transportation of liquid, gaseous and solid fuels according to the relevant specifications.

 

Requirements for taking the certification test:

 

In order to participate in the exam, a candidate must meet the following:

Be considered an adult in his/her country of origin or residence:

  • Academic Degree

or

  • Graduate of one-year or two-year post-secondary education (e.g. Institute of Vocational Training), as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence (e.g., Pollution Control and Decontamination Facilities Technician, Materials Control Technician)

or

  • Graduate of optional secondary education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 40 hours in a relevant subject.

or

  • Graduate of compulsory secondary education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 60 hours in a relevant subject.

 

* In this sub-scheme, is given the possibility to the candidate to be evaluated either in Greek or in English. In case the candidate chooses to be examined in the English language, it is recommended that his/her level of knowledge in English is at least B1 (moderate knowledge).
