The purpose of this certification is to confirm the specialized knowledge and skills required to undertake, organize and better manage a project. According to ESCO (European Commission), project managers ensure that a project is completed on time, within budget and that its objectives are achieved. They supervise the project, manage human resources, ensure that the most effective resources are used and that all parties involved are satisfied.
A project manager and the team he or she coordinates are charged with responsibilities spanning all phases of a project’s life cycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure.
To achieve their role, project managers need to have multi-dimensional knowledge such as time management, cost management, human resource management, communication skills, risk analysis, stakeholder management, etc..
Requirements for taking the certification test:
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence.
* In this sub-scheme, is given the possibility to the candidate to be evaluated either in Greek or in English. In case the candidate chooses to be examined in the English language, it is recommended that his/her level of knowledge in English is at least B1 (moderate knowledge).
