The holder of the certification “Cybersecurity Officer in the Internet of Things (IoT)” ossesses the knowledge and skills required to understand, implement, and support security mechanisms in IoT environments. They are capable of identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and actively contributing to ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data transmitted across connected systems and infrastructures.
This professional can participate in the design and implementation of security policies, utilize monitoring and incident response tools, and contribute to improving system resilience against cyber threats. They understand the importance of secure architecture, communication protocols, and encryption technologies, while keeping up with developments and trends in cybersecurity and IoT technologies.
Indicative job responsibilities include:
- Supporting risk, vulnerability, and threat management related to connected devices and networks.
- Implementing access control and user authentication measures.
- Assisting in processes for detecting, logging, and responding to security incidents.

Requirements for taking the certification test:
Be 18 years old or older and have/be:
- Academic Degree
or
- Graduate of an optional secondary school, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 30 hours in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of optional secondary education (e.g. Vocational High School), as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence with an educational orientation in a related subject.
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence and completion of a training programme of at least 50 hours in a relevant subject
or
- Graduate of compulsory education, as applicable in his/her country of origin or residence, with at least 6 months of professional experience in a related field.
